Jacob Levin

Jake is an associate in Polsinelli’s Environmental group. Jake has experience advising on a wide range of environmental matters, including federal and state enforcement actions, industrial regulatory compliance and environmental due diligence in corporate transactions. Jake regularly works with the CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, and also has experience with federal and state permitting, facility audits, environmental justice issues, and ESG.

Jake graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2021 with a Certificate in Environmental and Energy Law. During law school, Jake served as the Editor-in-Chief of Chicago-Kent's Journal of Environmental Law and as the President of Chicago-Kent's Environmental Law Society for two years. Jake also served twice as an Honors Law Clerk at US EPA HQ in Washington, DC in the OECA Offices of Air and Water Enforcement. Additionally, Jake served as a law clerk at the Illinois Pollution Control Board, Openlands, and the Chicago Legal Clinic. Jake also competed in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition in 2020, where he won the Best Oralist Award for his Round 1 arguments.

Jake is licensed to practice in Colorado, Illinois and Ohio. When not working, you can find Jake in the mountains hiking, climbing, or skiing. Jake has completed the 220+ mile John Muir Trail, the 90+ mile Wonderland Trail, and has done many trips on the Appalachian Trail and in the Western Rockies.
